By Acorn Juice Solutions

Stop scrubbing the timeline. Just ask.

AccuVideo searches your entire video library by what people say, what's on screen, and what's visible on camera — and lands you on the exact second. On compatible NVIDIA GPUs, optional GPU processing can speed up indexing and analysis while keeping everything local.

100% local · Windows · macOS (Apple Silicon) · optional GPU processing

Three ways to find the moment

AccuVideo indexes every layer of your videos and lets you search across them in plain language, with optional GPU processing on compatible NVIDIA hardware.

Spoken words

Whisper transcribes every video locally. Search the dialogue, the lecture, the meeting — and jump to the second it was said.

On-screen text

Slides, captions, signs, code on a whiteboard. AccuVideo reads what's printed on screen and makes it searchable.

Visual content

A vision-language model describes what's actually in the frame — "kids blowing out candles", "dance scene", "whiteboard formula".

Two editions

Both editions share the same local-first search experience. Basic covers spoken words and on-screen text. Pro adds visual understanding, a CLI for batch ingestion of large archives, and multi-client LAN streaming.

Basic

For individuals, students and modest libraries

  • Semantic search over spoken words (Whisper transcription, runs locally)
  • On-screen text indexing — slides, captions, signs, code on a whiteboard
  • In-app ingestion — drop a folder, watch it index
  • Single-machine use, EN/ES UI, dark and light themes
  • Multilingual transcription — pick the audio language (or auto-detect); optional translation for cross-language search
  • Optional NVIDIA CUDA acceleration — if a compatible GPU is detected, Basic offers to enable GPU mode and downloads a bundled DLL pack on demand

Best for: students, individuals and families with a modest video collection.

Pro

For academies, businesses, schools and large archives

  • Everything in Basic
  • Visual content search (Florence-2) — find scenes by what's actually in the frame
  • Cross-modal re-ranking — audio + on-screen text + visual signals fused for sharper results
  • AccuVideoIngest CLI — headless batch tool to index hundreds of files in one command, with progress logs and resume on failure
  • Scheduled / overnight batches — automate nightly ingestion via Task Scheduler (Windows); ideal for growing archives
  • Multi-client LAN streaming — serve concurrent viewers from one machine
  • Ideal for processing videos without audio — visual indexing covers them on its own
  • NVIDIA CUDA build — separate .zip (>2 GB) hosted externally, with SHA-256 hash, linked from each GitHub release

Best for: online academies, corporate training, schools, large family archives and any multi-user setup.

How it works

  1. 1

    Point AccuVideo at your videos

Pick one or more folders on your machine. AccuVideo handles MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WMV, FLV, WebM, M4V, TS, MPEG.

  2. 2

    Index locally

Transcripts, on-screen text, and visual descriptions are computed on your machine. Embeddings go into a vector index — your raw video never leaves.

  3. 3

Ask, and land on the second

Type a question. Pick the result. The player opens at the exact frame that answers it — with seek-back controls if you want context.

Three ways to add videos

Pick whichever fits how your library is organised. You can mix and match — folders for the big archive, drag-and-drop for one-off files, and the headless CLI for overnight batches.

Select a folder

Point AccuVideo at one or more folders on your disk.

  • Videos are indexed in place — nothing is copied or moved.
  • Zero extra disk usage beyond the index itself.
  • Ideal for organised libraries and large archives on internal drives, NAS or external disks.

Drag & drop videos

Drop individual files straight into the app window.

  • Files are copied into a managed temporary folder — your video is duplicated on disk.
  • Convenient when files are scattered, on removable media, or you just want to try the app on a single clip.
  • Heads-up: large drops can grow that managed folder significantly.

💡 You can reclaim that space any time from Settings → Storage: clear the temporary copies without losing your index or search results.

Pro only

Batch CLI — AccuVideoIngest

Headless command-line tool for unattended batch ingestion of entire archives.

AccuVideoIngest.exe ingest "K:/MyVideos"
  • Recursively scans a folder for mp4, mkv, avi, mov, wmv, flv, webm, m4v, ts, mpeg and indexes everything it finds.
  • Two subcommands: ingest (transcribe + embed + upload to your vector index) and transcribe (transcripts to JSON only).
  • Tunable per run: --model, --language, --gap, --max-seconds, --min-chars, --mode (audio / visual / both) and --force to re-transcribe.
  • Reads VIDEO_FOLDER from the environment when no path is passed — perfect for Windows Task Scheduler overnight jobs.
  • Progress logs and resume-on-failure built in: re-runs skip what's already indexed.

💡 Ships with the Pro installer under <apps_dir>/AccuVideo/AccuVideoIngest/. Run AccuVideoIngest --help for the full option list.

Built for archives that nobody has time to rewatch

Online academies

Hundreds of lessons. One query, one minute.

Corporate training

Skip to the slide in a 3-hour all-hands.

Students

Find the moment your professor covered that concept.

Families

Years of footage on a hard drive. Search them like memories, not files.

100% local. Your videos never leave your machine.

No cloud upload of your content. No subscription to read your own archive. Indexing, transcription, vision and search all run on your hardware, with optional GPU processing on compatible NVIDIA systems.

Videos stay on your disk

The actual MP4, MKV and friends never get uploaded anywhere. Transcription, on-screen text reading and visual analysis all run on your own CPU/GPU — no cloud step, no third-party server seeing your footage.

Only abstract points reach the index

What goes into the vector database are embeddings — high-dimensional numerical points derived from your content. They power the semantic search but can't be reversed into watchable video, readable transcripts or recognisable frames.

Your collection, only yours

Every user gets a fully isolated collection, keyed to their license. No other AccuVideo user can query your library, see your snippets, or even know that your collection exists. Multi-tenant by design, single-tenant in practice.

How to get your trial license

Trial: 50 videos · 500 points · 30 days

  1. 1

Download the AccuVideo installer for your edition (Basic or Pro) from the Download section below.

  2. 2

Open the trial request form (or click Request trial license on any plan below) and tell us your operating system and the plan you want to try. We email back your 30-day trial license within 2 business days — paste it into AccuVideo and you're in. No hardware ID needed for the trial.

The trial runs for 30 days and the cap above is shared across all plans. When you're ready to subscribe, see below — paid plans are tied to your machine's hardware ID for security.

Download AccuVideo

Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon) builds available now. macOS builds are temporarily unsigned while we finish Apple Developer ID enrollment — on first launch, right-click the .pkg and choose Open to bypass Gatekeeper. Intel macOS: only Basic, on request — we evaluate hardware requirements case by case.

📧 First time? Request your trial license first — the installer asks for a license tied to your hardware ID to activate.

View all release files — changelog, hashes, older versions.

🟢 Want NVIDIA CUDA acceleration? Basic ships with CUDA support built in — if a compatible GPU is detected, the app offers to enable GPU mode and downloads a bundled DLL pack on first use. Pro CUDA is a separate .zip (>2 GB) hosted externally because of GitHub's 2 GB asset limit — download AccuVideoPro_GPU.zip (SHA-256 published in the GitHub release notes).

Need a Basic build for Intel macOS, an enterprise license, or have a question first? Contact us.

All plans include the 30-day free trial. Prices in EUR, VAT not included. Annual billing available — contact us for a quote.

Ready to subscribe to a plan?

Paid plans are activated against your machine's hardware ID, so each license stays bound to one specific computer.

  1. 1

Install AccuVideo on the machine you'll use as the indexer / server.

  2. 2

Open Settings → Account and copy your hardware ID. It's a short alphanumeric string unique to that machine.

  3. 3

Open the subscription form (or click Subscribe to this plan on any card below). Paste your hardware ID, pick your plan, edition and billing period (monthly / annual), and we send you to Stripe checkout. Your license activates automatically once payment clears.

Each paid license is bound to that hardware ID — one indexer / server per seat. Switching computers or reinstalling the OS? Email us with the new hardware ID and we re-issue, no questions. Pro plans include LAN viewers (15 / 45 / 150); viewers connect to your server and don't consume their own license.
